About Your Teacher
I am a graduate from the University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education, Grand Canyon University, and California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, and a Masters in Education in Curriculum, Instruction & Technology. I began teaching at Mesrobian Armenian School teaching several years in the classroom with Grades 3, 4, and combination 3/4 grades. When my Student were learning their Language and Religion, I taught Physical Education to Junior and Senior High School Students and coached various CIF sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Soccer.
Prior to teaching for Culver City Unified School District, I taught Physical Education classes at California State University Los Angeles.
I have been with Culver City Unified School District for many years teaching exercise classes for Culver City Adult School, teaching students of Special Needs as District Adapted Physical Education Specialist, as well as teaching Physical Education and Health at Culver City Middle School.
Since 2002, I have been teaching at Culver City High School with our Physical Education program to students in grades 9 through 12.
I incorporate technology into my Physical Education curriculum. Students have created Digital Multi-Media Projects and have been the receipients of the Digital Voice Awards sponsored by the Los Angeles County, Office of Education (Instructional Technology Outreach): 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
I have been involved as a USA Judo National Referee and USA National Judo Kata Judge. My coaching experiences have been with USA Judo, USA Swimming, and CIF High School Girls Team Sports with Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Soccer. I have also been a Red Cross Water Safety Swim Instructor, teaching swimming to Infants, children, and Adults.
I incorporate technology into my Physical Education program and... "I engage my students in higher learning skills and prepare them for the 21st century".
"Fight-On!"
